This piece is watercolor and ink. I modeled the color scheme and general design after the Beatles' album Magical Mystery Tour, and because if this I also made the piece square as if you were looking at the sleeve of a record. The girl pictured is a character I made who is the drummer of the fictional band Face Boob. She is 9 feet tall and thus cannot fit in a regular sized drum kit. To make matters worse, she purposefully uses a kids' drum set, because she likes the gross way it sounds and also the way it makes her look like a certified giant. Her name is Patricia Tieze (her friends call her Pace Tieze, or Pasties for short). She counts off the band before every song, hence the numbers displayed on the left side of the piece which breaks any symmetry the piece might have had and thus makes the composition more pleasing to the eyes. Watercolor is such a versatile medium and there are many ways it can be used. This illustrative style can be compared with the first watercolor piece I did which was much more realistic.
